CLEAN DRINKING WATER

Due to the proximity to the sea, the underground water is highly salty and unsuitable for drinking. The villagers have no alternative but to rely on canal water, which is unsafe for human consumption. Tragically, without any other options, locals are compelled to use water from the same canals where their animals bathe and drink, further compromising its quality.

Villagers are forced to travel 2-3 kilometers in scorching temperatures of 40-45°C to fetch water, carrying it on their heads. In response, Z&MWF has implemented a solution to deliver clean drinking water directly to their doorsteps.

To achieve this, the foundation has acquired a tractor and bowser, enabling the delivery of clean water to approximately 250-300 families daily. Regular laboratory tests are conducted to monitor the PH Levels and other chemical properties of the water, ensuring its safety. By providing access to clean water, the foundation aims to prevent waterborne diseases like diarrhea and hepatitis.
